FAQ

  • What is Atrophy Hunter about?

Atrophy Hunter: How to Stay Sharp in the Age of Convenience is about how technology and comfort are weakening our ability to think, decide, and create. The book explains how to protect critical thinking and curiosity in a world that rewards shortcuts.

  • What inspired you to write the book?

I’ve spent years helping organizations make decisions when the pressure is high. I started to see how much people rely on convenience instead of clarity, and how thinking itself was starting to fade. The book grew out of that realization.

  • What is The Knowing Edge podcast?

The Knowing Edge is a show I host with Kepner-Tregoe. Each episode looks at how people in high-stakes environments, pilots, engineers, executives, make decisions when there’s no time to hesitate.

  • How are Atrophy Hunter and The Knowing Edge connected?

Both ask the same question: How do we stay sharp when everything around us becomes easy? The book explores the idea in depth, while the podcast shows it through real stories and conversations.

  • Where can I get the book?

Atrophy Hunter is available on Amazon in paperback and ebook formats. You can also find links on this website.

  • What kind of consulting work do you do?

I work with companies to strengthen decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership. Most of my work focuses on helping teams think clearly and act decisively when the stakes are high.

  • Who have you worked with?

I’ve worked with the Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy, aerospace and weapons manufacturers, semiconductor research teams, and large industrial companies. The common thread is helping people improve clarity and control under pressure.

  • Do you teach workshops or speak at events?

Yes. I lead problem-solving and decision-making workshops with Kepner-Tregoe, and I speak on topics related to critical thinking, technology, and leadership. You can reach out through the contact page to schedule a session or event.

  • How does your work connect to Kepner-Tregoe?

I’m a consultant with Kepner-Tregoe, a company known for structured thinking and clear decision-making. The book reflects my own perspective, but it’s built on the same foundation of rational, disciplined thought that KT has taught for decades.

  • Will there be another book?

Possibly. I’m collecting new ideas and stories for a follow-up that explores how artificial intelligence affects the way we think and decide. Atrophy Hunter is only the beginning.

  • How can I stay updated on your work?
